Tribute to Will

Today we lost a beloved pet, Will the lizard. Our oldest son brought Will home after spending the night with a friend earlier this spring. The friend had found Will and decided that our oldest needed him. I was not at all excited about the arrival of Will because we have not had great success with frogs so I assumed the same about a lizard. Well soon enough Our oldest fell in love with Will and then so did the youngest son, I think the Dad had fallen for him also. While Dad was off working he was able to find some grub worms for Will we were happy to find something for him to eat. He was quite cute while he was eating ;) While we went camping I was able to take some pictures of Will. We had to warm his sand and his rock so he would not freeze. It was an interesting camping trip keeping the lizard warm. That was when I think i fell for him. He was quite cute. After he was done eating he would get all full of himself and stand up tall on his front feet. He was quiet, clean and not too much work. We are all going to miss Mr. Will.

"Three things are green"

My youngest boy explained to me the other day that there are only three things in the world that are green. Are you ready for the answer because I was not! He said " Boogers, leaves and grass. Boogers are just green, leaves are hooked to trees and the grass is green. And there you have it."
I wanted to laugh so bad but he was so serious that I did not dare or he would not share any of his insights with me again.

Today while we were at the store he informed me he did not know what it felt like to be a manager of a store but it must be hard work. Hee hee funny kid. I just love the way he thinks and tells me what ever is on his mind!

I am bored and tired

I sit here in front of this stupid computer I am tired. Just tired of everything! My husband has to work too much, our house still has lots left to do on it, the kids are out of school for the summer, baseball seems like it will never end.......I am just tired! I do not want to work any more on this house it has drained me of all I want to do, thus the bored state I am in. There is not a lack of things to do it is just that I do not want to do them. We have got so much done on this house but there is still so much more. A list of the completed things........ all sheet rock up stairs repaired and new texture, paint entire up stairs, all trim and moldings sanded and painted, bathroom brand new everything, kitchen all new everything, electrical all new everything, hard wood flooring stripped and sanded then stained with several coats of polyurethane, out side trim all painted, new flower beds with flowers, new mini patio, new grass planted and coming in nicely, new front and back doors, new front storm door, new out side lighting.......
Need to do still............flooring in bathroom and laundry room downstairs, sheet rock bathroom downstairs, paint all walls and cement floor in basement, install shower toilet and vanity in bathroom downstairs, install lighting in bathroom and laundry room downstairs, paint stair well, carpet stairs and bed room down stairs, and clean the rest of the house so it will be ready to show. I also need to clean and pack what ever we do not need and get it out to the garage neatly so the house can show nicely. See why I am tired and have put myself into overworked denial and a bored state of mind. Well their you go now you have herd my ramblings.

One more weekend

Working on this house that is the quote we have learned to say. We will get it done in "one more weekend". So far we have almost got the upstairs done. The kitchen still needs a little touch up's and so does the front room. The boy's rooms are basically done and so is the bathroom. Whew lots of work! Who knew this crazy house would take so much stink en time. We are also starting on the down stairs now. Our goal is to have this house done before school is out so we can get it on the market to sell. Down stairs there is tuns of work to do. We are going to enlarge the bathroom and the bedroom to make a nice size master sweet. On the list of things to do are also re-do the laundry room, add a bedroom or office (what ever you would call it) and fix up the family room that is now just a big room with cement walls and floor. The rate we got things done up stairs I am a little worried about completing all thins in time. There is also all the work that needs to be done out side, you know if the house is not cute outside no one will care what the inside looks like.
I am hopping to get to go back home over spring break. Things are not looking so good for Hubby to get to go with us, so it will probably just be me and the boys. He hates it when I am out on the road with out him. For us to go home will put us behind yet one more weekend! Do you see the irony here?
Here are some pictures of the bathroom one before and two after. It looks good and is super nice to take a shower with out wearing flip flops.
